Coach Shoe

Assistant Coach - Junior Varisty

Jordan Shoemaker is entering her 2nd year on the coaching staff for Tesoro Boys Water Polo. She graduated from Tesoro High School in 2017, in which she played water polo and swam throughout her time there. After high school, she attended San Diego State University where she majored in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Mathematics, and minored in Recreational Tourism. Jordan just recently received her teaching credential, and is going into her second year of teaching at San Clemente High School. She currently teaches AP Statistics and Data Science.

Jordan did not expect water polo to become a defining moment in her life when she stepped on the pool deck at Tesoro, hoping to escape a PE class. However, her life took a turn for the best, where she quickly fell in love with the sport and the people around it. While at SDSU, Jordan played for the women’s club water polo team, and held the leadership positions of Social Media Coordinator and Treasurer. Her love for the sport continued to grow through her college years, where she found water polo as an outlet for herself during her studies. Jordan, or Coach Shoe, is looking forward to her first year of coaching the sport she has always loved, and is so grateful to be beginning this stage in her life where it all started.

Coach Areea

Assistant Coach - Frosh/Soph

Areea Jabbour is entering his 2nd year coaching Tesoro Boys Water Polo. Water Polo has been apart of his life for more than a decade. He graduated from San Juan Hills High School in 2022, where he played varsity Water Polo for 2 years. He is currently attending Saddleback College majoring in Business Administration. Other than coaching, Areea is also a Lifeguard at Lake Mission Viejo, where he helps coordinate the Junior Lifeguard Program.

Water Polo has made a tremendous impact on Areea’s life. Areea has been playing Water Polo since he was about 8 years old. Water Polo has allowed Areea to further develop his leadership skills and allowed him to create bonds with his teammates that will last a life time. In high school, Areea helped his team make it to the Division 2 CIF Semifinals. Since then, Areea has stayed in the sport. Whether playing for fun or now coaching at Tesoro, his passion for the sport remains strong and he can’t wait to get his first season as a coach started!
